1. When and why did we start this service?

The Pandemic was truly horrific for everyone back in March 2020 and so coming out of lock-downs there were many people still sheltering and completely isolated from their friends and family members due to everyone being so cautious. In August 2021, our family decided to start up this service to help as many individuals as possible, still sheltering and living with loneliness. We started with one Client near to Cumnock and our Client-base has grown significantly since August 2021 and we now cover the whole of Ayrshire (both East and South) on a daily and weekly basis.

2. Which areas do we cover with our great service?

We cover the whole of Ayrshire and beyond for this service in Scotland. We are able to do this by recruiting wonderful staff in each of the Local Authority areas in Scotland.  We use traditional and non-traditional methods of recruitment and our process is rigorous - we only work with the most caring, professional and empathetic staff, who have a broad range of experience of working with vulnerable people.  Our staff are friendly, reliable and dedicated to helping those who are vulnerable in our communities and we find it a complete privilege to be asked to assist others. All our staff members have mandatory training and mentoring shifts to undertake, before they service a Client.

We work with both Local Authorities and also Private Clients within the Ayrshire areas.  We cover from the Dalmellington/Patna areas, right up to central Kilmarnock and the areas surrounding Kilmarnock including Bellfield, Darvel, Newmilns and Stewarton for our Clients. We cover all the areas in between these areas and have staff in all areas or who are able to travel to different areas, either by car or by public transport.
